Summer Is Here!

What’s new? 

• Summer is here, the days are longer, and SOAR Cafe is ready to enjoy it all! This just in, with the longer days also comes longer hours at the Cafe. Effective June 12th, 2025, hours are extended every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until 7pm! Updated hours include the cafe, the market, and the barista services.

• Want to enjoy your meal, drink, or snack outdoors? Don’t forget we have patio seating available. Soak up the summer weather and support your community at the same time. Keep your eyes peeled for new summer items and fresh new favorites! 

• In a rush but need a quick lunch, snack, or other fuel? Don’t forget our grab-and-go cooler, and be sure to keep an eye out for new and rotating salads, sandwiches, and other seasonal items!

• For all the latest summer fun, be sure to keep an eye on our social media for all the day-to-day updates regarding specials, events, and upcoming entertainment!

Meet the Team: SOAR Spotlight

Chelsea has been at the SOAR House for just under a year, also working in the Cafe. 

In her own works regarding the program, Chelsea said “Hi, my name is Chelsea Jean, I am a part of the SOAR program, I also work at the SOAR Cafe. I love being a part of the SOAR program because it’s given me a brighter future. I have so much support between being in the program and working at the SOAR Cafe. I love that all the staff is always there for me, even when going through hard things in my life. I have lots of friends at work and at home. I will forever be a SOAR sister.” 

A fun fact about Chelsea is that she likes to go fishing and enjoys gardening in her free time!

• We would love to work with any community member who would like to volunteer. We welcome a variety of talents and strengths. • Want to help, but don’t have time to share? We have a wish list! 

  • SOAR House: painting supplies and someone willing and able to help paint the house, 2 new Shark vacuums, furniture items (or gift cards to furniture retailers), cleaning supplies and paper products (including toilet paper, trash bags, Swiffer replacement pads, Clorox wipes)

  • SOAR Cafe: a deep freezer (or funds to contribute to a deep freezer), and cleaning supplies (including toilet bowl cleaner, bathroom cleaner, Windex, Clorox wipes)

  • If you are able to donate any of the above items, please reach out to the Cafe!
