About the event
Hi! I'm Crissy and I'm raising money for the organization SOAR while attempting to qualify for the Boston Marathon at the Bayshore Marathon on May 25th, 2024. The last time I ran a marathon (2018) I qualified for the Boston Marathon but missed the cut off time by 20 seconds. I told myself when I turned 50 I wanted to try one last time so my children and family could watch me run the Boston marathon. So here I am, in the middle of my training feeling grateful I have the support of my family and the support system in place in order to train.
This is why I am raising money for the SOAR organization so women can have the support system they need to have the best life moving forward. SOAR exists to provide healing, housing, and employment for women survivors of human trafficking, sexual abuse, and trauma.
I'm asking for $26 for the distance I will be running, but please feel free to donate whatever you would like.
